New York Men Arrested in Fairfield With 4,000 Packets of Heroin

Held in Lieu of Total $1.5m Bond

News 12 reported Monday evening that two New York men were arrested in Fairfield on Friday with 4,000 packets of heroin worth an estimated $60,000.

Arturo Diaz, 47, and Irving Colon, 40, both of Brooklyn, were held in lieu of a total $1.5 million bond following their arrest by the Statewide Narcotics Task Force and their appearance Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court, according to News 12.

News 12 interviewed a State Police trooper who said little information about the case would be released because more arrests may be pending. Further information about the arrests wasn't available from Troop G Monday evening, but Fairfield Police confirmed that the men had been arrested at an Interstate 95 rest area in Fairfield.
