Newtown Shooter's Father Reportedly Has Stamford Ties

The father of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooter reportedly lives in the Westover section of the city, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Peter Lanza, father to the identified Newtown elementary school shooter who killed close to 30 people Friday, including 20 children, is a Stamford resident in the Westover section of the city, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Lanza lives there with his new wife after filing for divorce from 20-year-old identified shooter Adam Lanza's mother, the Advocate reports. The paper identified Lanza as the vice president of taxes for GE Energy Financial Services. He's also reportedly taught classes at both Fairfield and Northeastern universities.

Stamford police were reportedly called to the residence by state police to conduct a welfare check.
