Theft of Wallet at Supermarket; Scooter Valued at $1,600 Reported Stolen on Warde Terrace

Today's press briefing at the Fairfield Police Department included the following cases:

A wallet containing four credit cards and a driver's license was reported stolen from a pocketbook as a woman shopped at Super Stop & Shop on Villa Avenue in Fairfield Thursday afternoon.

Police said the wallet's owner came to police headquarters to report the theft and that Bank of America reported that someone had found her credit cards in a parking lot outside Wal-Mart in Orange.

A 2008 scooter, valued at $1,600, was reported stolen from a back porch on Warde Terrace in Fairfield within the past two days. The scooter was unsecured and the theft was reported at 11:13 p.m. Thursday, police said.
