iPod Stolen from Car at Car Wash; Purse Stolen from Shopping Carriage

The Police Department's press briefing this morning included the following cases:

An iPod valued at $250 was reported stolen from a car that was being washed at Villa Car Wash on Villa Avenue in Fairfield about 1:54 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the motorist was sure the iPod was in her car before employees were inside it, but employees denied taking it. No one was arrested, police said.

A purse containing $30, miscellaneous charge cards and personal photographs was reported stolen from an unattended pocketbook that was in a shopping carriage in CVS on the Post Road in Fairfield about 6:07 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Police said a woman had left the pocketbook open while she shopped.
