Breach of Peace Arrests After Dispute; 2008 Lexus Stolen From Dealership; Shoplifting Arrests; Infraction for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor

Two Fairfield men were each arrested on a breach of peace charge after they allegedly got into a dispute Monday afternoon that included threats with a shovel and hammer.

Kristian Bogacki, 24, of Country Road, told officers he was driving home when a car swerved in his direction, almost causing him to crash. The motorist, who had Joseph Mikucionis, 24, of Melville Avenue, as a passenger, continued to follow Bogacki to his house, and Bogacki got out of his car and punched the hood and windshield of the car in which Mikucionis was a passenger. Mikucionis got out of the car with a shovel, and Bogacki grabbed a hammer from his car, police said.

The altercation, which the men said stemmed from a dispute over money, never became physical, but neighbors were disturbed by the sight of the shovel and hammer, police said.
