Alleged Beer Theft Leads to Arrest; Arrest for Violation of a Protective Order and Drugs; Arrest for False Statement on Pistol Permit Application; Arrest for Criminal Possession of a Firearm
Today's press briefing at the Fairfield Police Department included the following cases:
A 25-year-old Bridgeport man accused of stealing $104 worth of beer from Super Stop & Shop on Villa Avenue in Fairfield Thursday afternoon was arrested on a sixth-degree larceny charge.
Henrique Vieira, of Carlton Avenue, was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court July 12.

Police said Vieira stole a 30-pack of Bud Light, a 30-pack of Coors Light and two 18-packs of Corona about 3:03 p.m. A Stop & Shop employee who witnessed the theft called police and officers arrested Vieira outside the supermarket, police said.
A 38-year-old Fairfield man accused of violating a protective order was arrested Thursday after he walked outside his ex-girlfriend's house and had a "stare down" with her son, police said.

Mark Streczyk, of Ash Street, was charged with violation of a protective order and possession of marijuana. He was held in lieu of $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court today.
Police said Streczyk is prohibited from going within 100 yards of his ex-girlfriend and that officers located him by the corner of the Post Road and Riverside Avenue in Fairfield about 9:56 p.m. He had 3.45 grams of marijuana on him and had an active warrant from Fairfield Police for second-degree failure to appear in court, police said.
A 21-year-old Fairfield man accused of falsely filling out a pistol permit was charged Thursday with second-degree false statement.
Dominick Spadaro, of Massachusetts Avenue, was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court July 8, police said.
Spadaro had previously been arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia but failed to note that on the permit as required by law, police said. He turned himself in at police headquarters about 9:46 p.m. after learning there was a warrant for his arrest, police said.
A 57-year-old Fairfield man who allegedly bought a high-powered rifle through a classified ad because he feared an invasion of extraterrestrials was arrested Thursday on a charge of criminal possession of a firearm.
Dave Eisenman, of Sherwood Drive in the town's Southport neighborhood, was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court July 9, police said.
Eisenman bought the rifle on May 29 for $320 from a Danbury man who came to his house, and the seller became concerned when Eisenman said he needed the rifle because aliens who live under the sun visit the Earth every 36,000 years to kill humans and they were coming soon, police said.
Eisenman, whom police said was a convicted felon and not allowed to possess a firearm, was arrested on a warrant Thursday morning, police said. Officers seized the rifle, police said.
