Fairfield Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

The Fairfield Police Department's press briefing on Thursday included the following case. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A 42-year-old Fairfield man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for domestic violence involving a 17-year-old relative.

Christopher Burr, of Overlook Avenue, was arrested at his home on a warrant that charged him with two counts of disorderly conduct, three counts of second-degree threatening, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of reckless endangerment. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Thursday, police said.

Police said the arrest stems from neglect and abuse of the relative but declined to provide specifics. The relative was taken into protective custody on Tuesday, police said. The initial report came into police from the state Department of Children and Families, police said.
