Larceny Arrest from Case in December; Arrest for Assault at Fairfield Inn; 82-Year-Old Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct in Fight at Nursing Home; Assault, Disorderly Conduct Arrest; Loud Party Arrest; Bicycle Theft; Burglary

A 33-year-old Bridgeport man who had a laptop computer in his home that had been stolen in December in a burglary on Church Hill Road in Fairfield was arrested Friday on a charge of third-degree larceny, police said today.

Startford Police were investigating an incident in Bridgeport, discovered the stolen laptop in the King Street home of Akio A. Case and contacted Fairfield Police, local police said.

The laptop and $9,500 worth of jewelry had been stolen on Dec. 5 during a burglary in Fairfield. The jewelry was not in Case's home, police said.

Case was arrested in Bridgeport Superior Court where he was appearing on an unrelated charge, police said.

A 33-year-old Bridgeport man accused of assaulting a woman in the Fairfield Motor Inn on April 28 was arrested in Bridgeport Friday by U.S. Marshals and taken to Fairfield Police headquarters.

Michael Noblin, of Harbor Avenue, was charged by Fairfield Police with first-degree burglary, second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, threatening and disorderly conduct. He was held on $250,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court today.

Police said they received a call from a clerk at the motel about an argument and fight taking place in one of the rooms about 1:20 a.m. April 28, but Noblin, the victim and another man had left when officers arrived.

Officers were able to find the victim at her house in Bridgeport and she had scratches and abrasions on the left side of her neck, police said. She said she had been assaulted by an ex-boyfriend, police said.

An 82-year-old Easton man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct Saturday afternoon after he allegedly got into a fight with his daughter while they were visiting the man's wife at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield.

Joseph Mende, of Harvest Moon Road, was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court today, police said.

Mende had gone to the JHE to visit his wife and didn't know his 45-year-old daughter would also be there. Mende pushed his daughter onto a bed and held her down when she tried to get up, police said. Nurses told police that the daughter was screaming for help and telling Mende to get off her, police said.

Mende also was warned by officers not to return to the JHE, police said.

A 33-year-old Fairfield man accused of slapping his girlfriend in the face was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct Sunday afternoon, police said.

Max Miller, who lives in a house on Black Rock Turnpike with his girlfriend, was held on $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear today in Bridgeport Superior Court, police said.

The incident took place about 12:19 p.m., police said.

A 22-year-old Harrison, N.Y. man was charged with disorderly conduct early Sunday after police responded to a report of a loud party on Fairfield Beach Road in Fairfield.

Kevin Fitzpatrick was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court May 17, police said.

Police said people at the party were yelling and screaming about 2:06 a.m.

A bicycle of unknown value was reported stolen from an open garage on Brett Road in Fairfield sometime between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, police said. The incident was reported to police on Friday.

A television valued at $300, an X-Box game system valued at $300, a laptop computer valued at $1,200 and a backpack valued at $150 were all reported stolen from a house on Fairfield Beach Road in Fairfield sometime between 10:50 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said there was forced entry to the house and that pry marks were around a lock on the front door.
