A Florence Lane home was reportedly broken into sometime between 5 p.m. on Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
The complainant went to check his father's home Friday afternoon and found that the front door window had been smashed and the alarm deactivated, according to the report. The driveway motion sensor lights had been removed also.
The man told police he had set the alarm and locked all of the doors the evening before.
Drawers had been pulled out and rifled through inside the home and a safe was reported missing, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said. The safe contained a gun and a passport.
This is under investigation.
