[UPDATED] Police Looking for Suspect in CVS Shampoo Thefts

The department released a photo of the man police believe is responsible for the high-end shampoo heists at several CVS locations in Fairfield.

An employee at the CVS Pharmacy on Grasmere Avenue (in Kings Cross Shopping Plaza) reported to police Friday that $800 in high-end shampoo was stolen, police said.

Several other Fairfield CVS stores have reported similar thefts last week. Police, with the help of employees and surveillance footage, have developed a suspect.

The suspect has been described as a heavy-set, dark-skinned white male with tattoos on his right forearm. One employee said he was wearing sunglasses and a dark-colored baseball cap, a white T-shirt and dark shorts.

He left the Grasmere Avenue store with 35 bottles of shampoo, likely concealed in a backpack he was carrying, according to the report. Video footage showed him leave the store in a black four-door sedan.
