Police: Man Threatened to Shoot Woman In Front of Kids

Fairfield police confiscated the man's guns and arrested him.

A 36-year-old Fairfield man was arrested Monday night on a charge of disorderly conduct following a report of a dispute at his Post Road residence.

Police said the man, Eddie Medero, of 129 Post Road, pushed the female victim and she fell to the ground.

According to police, Medero and the woman were fighting about how officers had confiscated his firearms. Police said the guns were taken out of the residence after Medero allegedly threatened to shoot the woman in front of two children.

That incident reportedly took place on March 6 and Medero was arrested March 18 in relation to it, on charges of disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening, according to the state Judicial Branch website.

Medero is scheduled to appear in court on April 10 for all three charges.
