Possible Coyote Attack Reported on Fairland Drive

Animal Control officers found the remains of a small dog -- they believe it was attacked by a coyote.

officers discovered the remains of a small beagle-type dog, which they believe was attacked by a larger animal -- likely a coyote.

The body of the dog was found on Fairland Drive on Saturday, according to the report filed in the police department. Animal Control was able to track down the dog’s owners, Burroughs Road residents who had reported the dog missing on Friday.

The residents were advised to keep an eye on their other small dog when it’s outside. The dog that was attacked had been wearing an electric fence collar when it was attacked, Animal Control officers reported.
