Two 11-year-old boys from Bridgeport were charged Monday with the theft of at least one bicycle from the Algonquin Road/Webb Road neighborhood, and police believe more bikes reported stolen from the area will be recovered.
The two juveniles were charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny after they reportedly confessed to police that they took a bicycle from a garage on Webb Road.
A neighbor reported the boys to police after she saw a group of four suspicious juveniles on the street, police said.
The group scattered when police arrived, but officers detained the two boys who were charged with the theft. One was found in the backyard of a home on Hughes Street in Bridgeport with a girl's blue Trek bike ($500), according to the report.
Two other bicycles were recovered -- a boy's Trek bike ($230) that had previously been reported missing and an unidentified bike that was seized for safekeeping.
The boys told police they had stashed several more bikes and would show officers where they could recover them, according to the report.
The juveniles were released to the custody of their guardians and are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1. Police are working on recovering the other stolen bicycles.

Police were notified Monday of car break-in at Fairfield Cinemas.
According to the report, the complainant was away from her car for five minutes when she returned to find the left front window had been smashed.
Her iPhone 4 and case, valued at a total of $200, were missing, police said.
An estimate for the damage to the window was not disclosed.
