Purse Stolen from Unlocked Car at Fairfield YMCA

Police are investigating.

A purse was stolen from an unlocked car parked at the on Old Post Road Wednesday morning, police said.

The complainant’s credit and debit cards, cash, and license were in the purse, according to the police report. One credit card had been used in Fairfield and Shelton following the theft. The suspect also attempted to use the victim's HSBC card in Wilton, but the bank teller confiscated both the card and the complainant’s license, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.

This is under investigation.
