A Southport man was charged with disorderly conduct Friday after an alleged verbal dispute with his father, police said.
Brendan Travers, 20, of Hulls Highway, allegedly threw a chair against the ground -- breaking it -- and slapped a cell phone out his father's hand during the argument, police said.
Travers was released on a promise to appear in court on Monday.
