Rite Aid Dispute Leads to Arrest

A Westport man was charged with disorderly conduct at the Rite Aid in Fairfield.

A Westport man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly slapped the woman he was with at Rite Aid, police said.

The store manager called police to report a man and a woman were having a verbal argument in the store, according to the report. The man then allegedly slapped the woman on the side of the head, police said, and the woman locked herself inside the bathroom.

Police arrested Daniel Feldman, 39, of Maple Avenue, and charged him with disorderly conduct. Feldman was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 25.
