A Shelton man was sentenced to 13 years in prison last week for a spate of holdups at area businesses last year that included Adam's Bakery in Fairfield.
Christopher French accepted a plea bargain Thursday before pleading guilty to seven counts of first-degree robbery, among other charges, the Connecticut Post reports.
Police charged the 37-year-old Shelton man in May 2012 for the armed robbery at Adam's Bakery the month before. French faced additional charges in June when police suspected him of a holdup at Two-Fold Laundry in Stratford, which cops said was followed by another heist at a tanning salon in Fairfield on the same day.
French confessed to further armed robberies and holdups at several Bridgeport businesses, including the May 1 robbery of the Subway on Broadbridge Road and the May 3 robbery of the Subway on Barnum Avenue, the Post reports.
