Shoplifter Nabbed After Fleeing Fairfield Home Depot

Kevin Currytto, 43, of Bridgeport, was charged with fifth-degree larceny on Nov. 15 at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to police, Currytto was arrested on a warrant stemming from a shoplifting incident on August 22 when he allegedly stole two drill sets, valued at over $500, from Home Depot, 541 Kings Highway Cutoff, Fairfield.

Store security heard the fire door alarm go off, when they observed Currytto he drove his vehicle away from the building at a high rate of speed, over the Kings Highway Cutoff curb and through a red light, according to police.

Currytto has committed similar crimes elsewhere, according to police.

Currytto was held on $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.
