Stolen Toothbrushes Lead to Arrests

Fairfield Police assisted in the arrest.

Two New Haven men were arrested Saturday on larceny charges after the on Post Road in Westport reported  more than $600 in Sonic toothbrushes stolen, according to a news release from the Westport Police Department.

Westport Police were called to the store at 397 Post Road East around 10 a.m. and were told two suspects left the store heading eastbound in a green Subaru Outback.

Police patrols found the car driving southbound on the Sherwood Island Connector. After a brief chase, the car stopped on Pequot Avenue in the Southport section of Fairfield.

Westport Police, along with the assistance of Fairfield Police, arrested Mark Adamo, 36, and Roger Card, 35, both of New Haven. Police also found the stolen CVS items in the vehicle.

Both men were charged with larceny. Card was also charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under suspension and engaging in police pursuit.

Both men were held at the Westport Police Department on bond, according to Lt. John Pitoniak.
