Store Employees Stop Alleged Drunk Driver in Parking Lot

Easton woman was visibly intoxicated inside a Fairfield CVS.

Elizabeth Kennedy, 42, of Easton, was charged with DUI on Oct. 15 at approximately 2:35 p.m. outside of CVS, 1961 Black Rock Tpk., Fairfield. 

According to police, CVS store employees noticed Kennedy was intoxicated while inside of the store and attempted to stop her from driving away. One employee flagged down a nearby police officer while Kennedy was sitting in her vehicle with the keys in the ignition and the car on.

Kennedy needed to be transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital following the DUI arrest. She is schedule to appear in court on Oct. 28.
