A Stratford man was charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree larceny in connection to a burglary on Fairfield Beach Road, police said.

Lucas A. Greene, 32, of Stratford was spotted by a patrol officer walking “suspiciously” in the Fairfield Beach area Wednesday night, according to department spokesperson Lt. James Perez.

Police saw Greene enter a blue Chevy Silverado and approached him. While questioning him, police noticed a large flat screen TV in the back of the vehicle. The $1,400 flat screen -- plus a $300 DVD player also found in the car -- were reportedly traced back to a Fairfield Beach Road home that had been burgled that night.

Greene was held on a $25,000 bond.
