Suspect Flees After Attempted Break-In at the Connecticut Audubon Society's Headquarters

Police believes incident began in Bridgeport

Fairfield police are investigating whether an early Tuesday morning incident that began in Bridgeport is connected to an attempted break-in at the Connecticut Audubon Society’s headquarters on Burr Street, the Fairfield Citizen Online reports. 

Police say they believe a car that departed Bridgeport with a man and a woman in the car ended up near the Audubon center, the Fairfield Citizen reports. 

It’s believed that the woman, who appeared to be in distress in the vehicle, got out of the car and was taken to safety by police, but the suspect fled on foot and remains at large, the Fairfield Citizen reported.
