Two teens were arrested in Fairfield on Friday following an underage drinking party on College Park Drive, police said.

A 15-year-old girl was charged with permitting minors to drink alcohol in her home, according to the police report. The girl's parents were out for the evening.

A 17-year-old male was caught running away from the party, according to the report, and was charged with interfering with police. He had been ordered to stop, detained by an office, broke free, and was detained again before being arrested.

Both teens were issued a juvenile summons and are scheduled to appear in court in March. The number of partygoers at the house was not disclosed in the report.

When I was a kid growing up in Fairfield,if a cop told you to stop, you stopped.I see a dark future for this 17year old male who was arrested for drinking and breaking free of the police.

We know that the brain of the teens do not develop until they are 25, so we know that young people are going to make mistakes and the taxpayers have to spend money in courts, police, other employees. When I was a kid cops used to help us, now we spend and spend the taxpayers money. We should find another way to help these kids and help our economy.

Eleanor, the way a "kid" learns to conduct him/herself is at home.Parents need to be held responsible for a change. It's not my job to "find another way".When I was a kid,we respected cops.
