Two Fairfield Businesses Report Cash Stolen Over Weekend

Sky Hookah Lounge and Five Guys Burgers and Fries both reported money was stolen this weekend.

The owner of Sky Hookah Lounge on Kings Highway East reported early Saturday that approximately $1,000 in cash was stolen from the business's cash register, police said.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video walking up to the register and taking the money while the staff was closing down for the night. According to the owner, the suspect is a regular customer. He was described in the police report as a Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and white hat.

This is under investigation.

The night manager of Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Grasmere Avenue reported to police early Sunday that the burger joint had been burglarized, police said.

According to the report, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a safe and the store's alarm had been disabled. Two suspects were caught on surveillance video.
