Two Teens Hospitalized After Car Rolls Over into Creek

Two teens were hospitalized Wednesday following a vehicle rollover into a creek at the intersection of Osborne Hill Road and Glen Arden Road.

Fairfield's Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call at 3:52 p.m. regarding the accident. Engine 2, Ladders 1 and 2, and Car 3 responded, according to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Tracy.

First responders saw the car overturned in the creek with the one teenage boy trapped inside, Tracy said. The other teen, the occupant's younger brother, had managed to get himself out of the car before emergency personnel arrived.

After securing the scene and assessing the teens, firefighters extricated the older brother, who had been driving, from the car. Both teens were transported to the hospital to evaluate injuries.

The younger brother reportedly told first responders that his brother had a seizure while driving, causing the accident, the Connecticut Post reports.

United Illuminating and Aquarion were also called to the scene to assess damage caused to a utility pole and fire hydrant during the accident.
