U.S. Postal Worker Saves Fairfield Woman's Day

The Fairfield resident had fallen the night before and could not reach a telephone to call for help.

A mail carrier making her rounds in Fairfield on Friday came upon a home in Marlborough Terrace and did more for the resident than deliver the mail.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Tracy, the letter carrier (identified by DoingItLocal.com as Luz Gongzalez) saw in the window of a Marlborough Terrace home a sign that said “Call 911.” The resident, an elderly woman, had apparently fallen the night before and could not reach the telephone.
