A Fairfield man was issued an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found several smoking pipes in his home, police said.

Christopher Andrea, 24, of Berwick Avenue originally called police to report glass bottles being thrown into his backyard. His residence is adjacent to Sky Hookah Lounge and he suspected the bottles were being thrown from the Kings Highway East establishment.

He showed police shards of glass bottles lining the fence of his backyard when the owner of Sky Hookah Lounge approached and told police that Andrea had been throwing glass pipes onto his property, Deputy Police Chief Lyddy said. Police saw what appeared to be broken glass pipes on the hookah lounge property.

There were more glass pipes readily visible inside the Berwick Avenue home, police said. Andrea reportedly admitted the pipes belonged to him and his roommates and that they were used to smoke marijuana -- though he didn’t have any weed on him at the time, according to the report.

The three pipes from the home were seized and tagged as evidence by police officers.
