A Bridgeport woman was accused of stealing and pawning a diamond ring, among other items, from her mother's Fairfield home, police said.
Arlene Gasper, 31, who has been under house arrest at the Brookfield Avenue residence, was charged Monday with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny following an investigation launched in August.
Gasper's mother reported to police in August that a diamond ring ($5,500), a laptop and case ($550), Bose iPod adapter ($100), and a Mickey Mantle baseball card ($350) were stolen, according to the report. She believed Gasper may have pawned the items in Bridgeport.
Police recovered most of items from pawnshops in Bridgeport and charged Gasper on Monday. She was issued a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.
