Alessi Announces Planning & Zoning Re-Election Bid

Planning & Zoning member seeking four more years.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted by Gerry Alessi.

As you may know, for the past 3 years I have had the great pleasure to serve you and our town as a commissioner on the Town Planning and Zoning Committee. This November I am up for reelection and I am asking for your support.

I have been a resident of Fairfield for 15 years and have had the pleasure of putting my 2 daughters through the Fairfield school system. They are both currently at Warde High School. For the the past 6 years I have been the coordinator of the Stratfield neighborhood watch program, working very closely with our police department.  I have a history as the commissioner that constantly says "we need to keep Fairfield a town and not make it a city".

This, along with my concerns for our children's safety, and the safety of all our residents has been reflected in every comment and every vote I have made.
Lately this town has seen many applicants come before the commission that can severely impact our community. I have been a vocal advocate to preserve our downtown, recognizing the traffic problems we have in town and above all committed to keeping our children safe while they enjoy this great town we call home.

I hope Election Day you entrust me with your vote to serve you for another 4 years on TPZ. It is a job I enjoy and take very seriously.

Thank you,
Gerry Alessi
