Campaign Notebook: McMahon, Murphy Debate About Debates

Democrat Chris Murphy has proposed a debate against Republican opponent Linda McMahon about jobs. Job creation was a central point on McMahon's campaign, and she agreed to participate on Oct. 3 at the Garde Arts Center in New London. Both campaigns have fired off statements criticizing each other about the planning of proposed debates. 

Fourth District

Jim Himes (D): Himes visited Greenwich's Nathaniel Witherell nursing home, reports the Stamford Advocate. "Rule No. 3 in politics is never interrupt bingo under any circumstances," he said. 

Steve Obsitnik (R): Obsitnik will be a featured speaker at "The Rally for Republican Unity" on August 18th, .
