Fairfield Democratic Annual Century Club Brunch

Democrats Honor Top Members at Century Club Brunch

 Fairfield, CT, March 4, 2011 – The list of prominent elected officials attending the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee’s annual Century Club Brunch on Sunday, April 10, 2011 is impressive. Confirmed attendees include US Senator Richard Blumenthal, US Congressman Jim Himes, Governor Dannell Malloy, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, Attorney General George Jepsen, Treasurer Denise Nappier, Susan Bysiewicz and Congressman Chris Murphy. The event will take place at the newly renovated Patterson Club, 1118 Cross Hwy, Fairfield, noon-3:00PM.  The Patterson Club will offer participants gracious service and an array of healthy brunch items prepared with the freshest ingredients.

 The event celebrates exemplary Fairfield Democrats. This year, Heather G. Dean will be awarded the Denise Dougiello “Young Turk” Award. The award is given annually to a newer member of the Democratic Party who has contributed in an exceptional way to moving it to the future. Heather is very involved in both local politics and the community at large.  She has served on the Fairfield RTM and has also held leadership positions for the PTA at both Osborn School and Roger Ludlowe Middle School.

 The Eunice Postol Community Service Award will be awarded to Barbara Rifkin. The award is given annually to a Democrat who over the past years has exemplified undying dedication to community service.  Barbara has served on virtually every town committee, including many years on the Board of Education and RTM. She currently serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The event will be co-hosted by the 132nd’s own Tom Drew and Tony Janotta, Legal Counsel to Governor Malloy.

 Individual tickets are $ 100.00. Underwriter contributions of $250 or more receive two tickets and acknowledgement in the event program. Advertising space in the program is available.
