Fairfield RTC Lobster Bake and Awards Ceremony

During the event, RTM member and state representative candidate Brenda Kupchick will be presented with the Myrtle Miller Award for dedicated service to Republican causes and campaigns; former Selectman Ralph Bowley and past RTM Minority Leader Martha Sue Eckert will be posthumously honored with the Gerry Malafronte Community Service Award; and Board of Education member Pamela Iacono will be presented the Paul Tymniak Young Republican Award.

RTC Chairman Jim Baldwin said this year's award recipients were selected based on their collective commitment and dedication to both Fairfield and core Republican values and causes.

"The decision to honor Brenda and Pam recognizes both their dedication to Republican principles and early and passionate dedication to Republican ideals," Baldwin said. Posthumously recognizing and honoring the superlative community service both Ralph and Sue exemplified is bittersweet for all who worked with them in so many public and private causes. They are sorely missed, but shall not be forgotten. All four were and are caring and devoted individuals who have helped make our community a better place to live through the advocacy of our principles. The Republican Party is extremely grateful for their years of dedicated service and I am certain so too is the town."
