All Fairfield residents are invited to attend a constituent meeting with members of the Representative Town Meeting from Districts 4, 5, 6 and 7 on Saturday, April 28th from 10 am to noon at the McKinley School Cafeteria.
The RTM will vote in May on the proposed $273 million budget to fund both the town and its schools for the next fiscal year, and this is a great opportunity to have your opinions heard. Representatives of Districts 4 (votes at Osborn Hill), District 5 (votes at McKinley), District 6 (votes at Warde) and District 7 (votes at North Stratfield) want to hear their constituents’ views—and to answer their questions—about the budget, property taxes, and the continuing impact of the last property revaluation.
“We continue to face economic challenges” said District 5 representative Josh Garskof, “and we want to provide our constituents an opportunity to speak directly to those you elected to represent you.” It will be an open forum for talking to your representatives, who have the final say on the budget.
