Fairfield Democrats Seek Candidates for November Elections

The Fairfield Democratic Town Committee (DTC) invites anyone interested in serving our Town by becoming a candidate for the upcoming municipal elections on Nov. 5.

Fairfield will elect members to serve on the Representative Town Meeting and the boards of Education, Finance, Zoning and Tax Appeals.

"These are your voices in the town government," members of the DTC said in a release.

Fairfield has survived the worst economic environment in almost 100 years, a historic storm that battered many residents, and the efforts of a vocal minority to divert funding from our schools and vital town services, according to the DTC.

Interested residents can join the Fairfield Democratic slate of candidates to "protect and grow the Fairfield we love -- a town that cares about its schools, its public libraries, its small businesses, and unique neighborhoods," the release states.

"We want candidates who will put aside partisan agendas and work together for Fairfield," Ellery Plotkin, Fairfield DTC chair, said.

The DTC will nominate and endorse its slate of candidates on Thursday, July 18. Any registered voter residing in Fairfield is invited to  seek a nomination.

Anyone interested should  write FairfieldDTC@gmail.com or call Heather Dean at 203-255-5238 before July 8.
