Fairfield Legislators to Speak at Annual League of Women Voters Event

The Fairfield League of Women Voters will be hosting a forum on the upcoming 2014 “short session” of the Connecticut legislature, which begins Feb. 5 and runs to May 7.

State Reps. Brenda Kupchick (R-132), Tony Hwang (R-134) and Kim Fawcett (D-133) along with State Sen. John McKinney (R-28) will make up the annual panel, discussing issues and concerns and answering questions.

The event will be held on Jan. 11 at the Fairfield Museum and History Center. The state legislators will discuss the issues that will be the focus of the upcoming session in Hartford. The Forum will take place in the Jacky Durrell Meeting Hall at 10 a.m. and runs till noon. Margaret Mary Fitzgerald will serve as the panel moderator.
