Thomas Conley has been named Fairfield’s new Chief Building Official effective immediately. Conley replaces James Gilleran who had served the town since 1987.

Conley, 59, of Fairfield, is a State of Connecticut Licensed Electrical Inspector and a State of Connecticut Licensed Building Official. He is a member of the I.B.E.W Local 488 Electrical Union, a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and holds an E-1 License as an Unlimited Electrical Contractor, according to First Selectman Mike Tetreau.

“The Town of Fairfield’s Building Department is continuing the tradition of safeguarding the public health, safety and general welfare through education and code enforcement,” said Conley.
