Former Fairfield First Selectman Flatto Moves to Bridgeport

Former Fairfield First Selectman Kenneth Flatto — who was by local elected leaders for his of the after in March 2011 — has reportedly sold his home in town and purchased a condo in Bridgeport.

Flatto, who was first selectman for almost 12 years up until his resignation last year, when he took a position with Gov. Dannel Malloy's administration, reportedly sold his house at 136 Orchard Hill Lane for $520,000, according to a report in the Fairfield Citizen. He and his wife reportedly purchased a condominium at 3200 Park Ave. in Bridgeport, about 50 feet from the town line.

In January it was reported that Flatto had resigned from his post as executive director of the state Division of Special Revenue to take a position as vice president for community services and business development at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. However he is now transitioning from his job with the Jewish Home into a new, yet-to-be-announced position, according to the report. He told the Citizen that he wouldn't be able to discuss his new job for another week to 10 days.

Flatto served as first selectman from 1997 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2011.
