How RTM Members Voted on $800K Cut

Vote Was 22 to 20 With One Abstention; Seven Members Absent

For informational purposes, here is how Representative Town Meeting members voted on an $800,000 reduction to the Board of Education's proposed 2011-12 budget as it was approved by the Board of Finance. The $800,000 reduction passed on a 22-20 vote, with one abstention, leaving the Board of Education's budget at $145.68 million for the 2011-12 fiscal year, which begins July 1:
