Letter: Kupchick's Values 'Come From Family, Heart'

It is hard to believe that I have known Brenda Kupchick for almost 20 years. We crossed paths as PTA moms, then as two high school advocates, then fellow RTM representatives, then constituent representatives for Chris Shays. However, what I really want you to know is how I feel about Brenda as a friend. 

Most of us, by the time we reach our sixth decile, if we are lucky, can count our true friends on one hand. And, how many of us can count as a true friend, someone whom we met through politics...a tricky business.

Brenda is one of my truest friends. Through the ups and downs of my life, she has always been there for me. I can't remember a time in my life in Fairfield when I wasn't included in a holiday dinner, a summer party, or a special family celebration by Brenda and Pete.  

You should know they are close-knit family of Italian and Hungarian descent and Brenda is the glue, the support, the brick and mortar for her family. Her values come from her family and her heart.

Brenda is love.
