Letter: RTC Chair Thanks Carolyn Richmond for Her Service on RTM

Richmond, a Republican representative for District 1, announced that she is leaving Fairfield at the RTM's November meeting.

To the Editor,

I was deeply saddened to here that Carolyn Richmond (R-1) was stepping down from the RTM. I had the honor to serve along side Carolyn on the RTM.  Having served as the Mayor of a community in Texas and as a life-long teacher, Carolyn brought a great deal of knowledge and insight to the RTM. She was a well spoken and dynamic advocate for the taxpayer.

Above all, she was a natural leader who captured everyone's ear when she spoke and, moreover, won the respect of her colleagues and constituents on both side of the isle.  Carolyn's passion and warm demeanor will be greatly missed and not soon forgotten. We have lost one of the best. I thank you, Carolyn, for your years of service, for your wise words of advice, for all you taught us and, most of all, your friendship.
