Letter: Tetreau-McCarthy Vahey Team Welcomes 'New Ideas From Any Source'

Michael Tetreau and Cristin McCarthy Vahey vow to serve Fairfield with 'energy, integrity, and openness.'

Every Election Day is a culmination of months of work by many, many people.  We walked our Town, talking to voters, hearing their hopes and criticisms, discussing both everyday issues and momentous decisions Fairfield faces.  We came to this election with ideas about how to make Fairfield better, and our ideas were further shaped by the voices we heard.

The is deeply grateful to all those who supported our efforts, but most to the people of Fairfield, who took the time to listen to the candidates, and to choose.   We are honored that you have elected us to lead our Town through the next four years.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 21, when we officially take office, we will work as a team serving all the people of Fairfield, those who voted for us as well as those who voted against us. We will continue to listen to all your voices. We will work with the elected officials of both parties, to meet your needs.

It is time to take a fresh look at how we do business in Fairfield. We are, as we said loudly throughout our campaign, One Town. We welcome new ideas from any source. Our promise is to serve you with energy, integrity, and openness.  Our goal is to achieve what is in your best interests. We want our town to be even stronger tomorrow than it is today.
