Presidential Debate Schedule 2012

The second debate between President Barack Obama and Republican Candidate Mitt Romney will be held Oct. 16 at 9 p.m.

 

The first presidential debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama - which focused on the economy - was on Oct. 3 and two more remain. Vice presidential candidates Joe Biden and Paul Ryan will also debate.

October 11, 2012
Vice Presidential

Topic: Foreign and domestic policy 
Air Time: 9-10:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time
Location: Centre College in Danville, Kentucky (Tickets)
Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates
Participants: Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan
Moderator: Martha Raddatz (ABC News Chief Foreign Correspondent)

The debate will cover both foreign and domestic topics and be divided into nine time segments of approximately 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the question.

Topic: Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy
Air Time: 9-10:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time
Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York (Tickets)
Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates
Participants: President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney
Moderator: Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent)

The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

Participants: President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney
Moderator: Bob Schieffer (Host of Face the Nation on CBS)

The format for the debate will be identical to the first presidential debate on Oct. 3 and will focus on foreign policy. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.

Was last year the year the BOE returned $ to the town? Absolutely agree with you about the middle school, we need more STEM offerings. Right now high schoolers are required to show they are proficient in Microsoft Office. Many take a semester long course to help prepare for the test (seems like that time could be better spent). Other students just take the proficiency test. Seems like this can be something that can be addressed earlier than high school. Why not offer the course to 8th graders, and let them show they are proficient in Microsoft Office before they even get to high school.

There are at least five separate buses that pick up children in front of my hose on Jennings road each morning 4 of which are all elementary. Can all these children in a two block radius go to different schools and if they do why. all the buses are almost empty when they pick up these children. Why then potentially are we paying all this money for buses when less can be used?

On weekendsRead More you'll find plenty of bike riders in the area so you'll have some company and there is plenty of scenery. Also, there are a couple of multi-use off-road paths located at Ash Creek (near Fairfield Metro Station) and Pine Creek.
