Renew Beach Stickers Online

Town rec officials advise online renewal, but passes at Lake Mohegan require visit to rec offices at 75 Mill Plain Road

Editor's note: The following news release about obtaining beach stickers was submitted by the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department:

The sun is having trouble making an appearance, but the beach season will be here soon. Fairfield Parks & Recreation is reminding beachgoers they will need a 2011 beach sticker to park at one of the town’s five beaches starting on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

This year, in an effort to cut costs, the Parks and Recreation Department will only be mailing applications to those 2010 sticker holders who do not have an e-mail address in the department's system. Recreation staff has been sending reminders through e-mail to all others and hope that they will “heed the call” and go online to renew their stickers. If they are not computer savvy, they can even call the office for assistance at 203-256-3191. Please visit the new and improved Parks & Recreation website at www.fairfieldrecreation.com for additional information.

Each person over 2 years of age will need an ID card with picture. They are $10 for residents and $20 for non-residents. Next year, all Lake Mohegan ID renewals will be able to be done online. If you have a Fairfield golf ID, you can call the office to add the Lake pass.
