Fairfield Patch has confirmed Hiller's absence from Town Hall this week, however top elected officials including First Selectman Michael Tetreau have so far declined to comment on his status.

According to a report in the Fairfield Citizen, Representative Town Meeting Majority Leader David Becker, R-1, asked Tetreau about during Monday's RTM meeting, however Tetreau said he would not comment on personnel issues.

Late last week an individual close to the matter, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fairfield Patch that employees saw Hiller being escorted out of his office on Tuesday by personnel from the town Human Resources Department.

However Human Resources Director Mary Carroll Mirylees told the Citizen that that was an inaccurate characterization of what happened.

Fairfield Patch will provide more information as it becomes available.
