On Thanksgiving morning I drove down Fairfield Beach Road for the first time since Sandy. I had seen the news videos on TV and on Facebook, but I had not seen the carnage first hand. My daughters and I walked around taking photos, seeing people’s personal belongings pressed between layers of wood and nails. It was so sad. I hope something like this never happens to our town again.
