Canal House Cooking Creators Visit Fairfield Public Library

The Fairfield Public Library will be hosting the creators of Canal House Cooking, Melissa Hamilton and Christopher Hirsheimer on Tuesday, May 8.  They will be in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, at noon.

Fans know the story behind Canal House:  Christopher and Melissa, former magazine editors, gave up life in New York for a simpler existence, living on opposite sides of the Delaware River and cooking together each weekday in their New Jersey studio.  Canal House Cooking became known as home cooking by home cooks for home cooks, with fresh ingredients and recipes all made easy for cooks of every experience level.  Their latest book, Canal House Cooking, Volume No. 7:  La Dolce Vita (January 2012), is the culmination of a month spent absorbing the spirit of Italian cooking in Tuscany.

Copies of the cookbook will be available for sale and signing.  Advanced registration is required due to the limited space.  All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.  For more information and to register for this event call 203-256-3160, or visit us on the web www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org .  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook: www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary
