Civil War Aficionado to lecture at Fairfield Public Library

If you are a Civil War and history buff, you don’t want to miss this author.  Matthew Bartlett author of The Gettysburg Chronicle Volume III:  The Bloody Pit will be lecturing at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, on Monday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The program “From Washington to Lee:  Colonial and Domestic Connections to the Civil War” connects people, places and events to the Civil War that you may not have known about.  Learn how George Washington and Robert E. Lee are connected, learn about the first case of ‘crime of passion’ and plea of insanity and the notorious West Point Class of 1846.

Matthew Bartlett is currently a student at the American Military University, majoring in Military History with a specialization in Civil War studies.  Since visiting the battlefield in 2008, he has surrounded himself with the topic of the American Civil War and the Gettysburg campaign.  Visit his website at www.gettysburgchronicle.weebly.com.
Registration is preferred due to the limited space.  All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.  For more information and to register for this event call 203-255-7308, or visit us on the web www.fairfieldpubliclibray.org .  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook: www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.
