Dave Burwick, President of Weight Watchers International, North America, to Speak at SHU

WHAT:  Dave Burwick, president of Weight Watchers International, North America, will meet with students, faculty and guests as part of the Welch MBA Forum.

WHO:  Dave Burwick joined Weight Watchers International as President of North America in April 2010.  In that capacity, he leads the company’s $1.2 Billion business in North America. This includes full P&L responsibility for all areas of the business, 20,000 employees and a retail network of 800+ weight loss centers. Since he joined Weight Watchers International approximately one year ago, the Company’s stock has risen over 140%, while other companies in the industry have been much less successful.

Before joining Weight Watchers, Mr. Burwick spent 20 years at PepsiCo in a range of senior executive roles, including senior vice president and chief marketing officer of PepsiCo North America Beverages and president of Pepsi-Quaker-Tropicana-Gatorade Canada.

This is an opportunity to gain insights from one of the most successful marketing executives in America, who has made the transition to the President’s office.
