Educational Opportunities for Adult Students @ the Fairfield Library

The Fairfield Public Library has partnered with Higher Education Consortium of Connecticut to present “Affordable Degree Completion & Continuing Education Opportunities for Adult Students”.  There will be a panel discussion on Wednesday, November 30, in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road at 7 p.m.

An increasing number of adults are out of work.  Many are returning to school as a way of transitioning their careers or simply using the time to put the finishing touches on a degree.  There are in fact many government-funded opportunities now provided to out-of-work adults who are looking to continue their education or obtain a new skill-set.  Representatives from various colleges and trade schools will be on hand to discuss affordable degree options for adults as well as shortcuts to degree completion.  The presenters for this program will be Amy Amaru--Post University, John DeBenedictis--Sacred Heart (University College), Jamie Caruso--University of Connecticut Stamford Campus, Monica Rogers-Reed--University of Bridgeport, AnnMarie Puleo--Western Connecticut State, Matthew Beck--Brio Academy of Cosmetology (Fairfield Campus) and Leslie Cahill from The Graduate Institute.
