Fairfield Metro Center's Kurt Wittek to Talk Sustainability at Fairfield Green Drinks

"Kurt Wittek, principal of Blackrock Realty, the developers of Fairfield Metro Center (FMC), will join Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau at this week’s Fairfield Green Drinks to talk about Fairfield’s sustainable future. 

Wittek will share how the Town of Fairfield's transit overlay zone has positioned Fairfield as a model for smart growth and economic development for the region.  Reducing traffic congestion, greenhouse gas emissions and travel times, FMC will transform a once dormant 35-acre Brownfield site into a vibrant mixed-use campus of sustainable LEED Gold certified green buildings and open spaces. Wittek will also share the dramatic progress that’s has been made to date and exciting plans for the next phase of the development."
